So many people have reached out to ask how I am recovering from hip surgery. I appreciate all the love and support!
The truth is, I am recovering pretty well. It definitely helps that I went into surgery in good health.
While my normal exercise is currently off the table, I have started making some changes to my nutrition. The changes aren’t because I am concerned about gaining weight without exercise, but to help reduce inflammation, restore my gut health (antibiotics wreak havoc on your intestines), and speed up my recovery.
So, what am I doing?
I’ll give you a hint…It involves swapping steak for broccoli 🙂
Yes, I am eating more plant-based for a while!
Plant-based nutrition is ideal for post-surgery recovery because it’s naturally anti-inflammatory. I am already noticing the reduction in bruising and swelling.
That means I’ll be back to motivating you and correcting your form in semi-private and personal training sessions in no time!
